Primark, Superdrug + Boots Haul!

Hey guys! I went into town on Thursday and bought a few things (I am pretty proud of myself because I managed to not buy everything I liked), which meant I thought I would show you all what I got.

I bought the Timotei Pure shampoo and conditioner, for normal to greasy hair, because I was running out of shampoo, so I thought I would give this a go because it has no harsh chemicals, parabens etc. I have used this once so far and I really like it! It leaves my hair so soft and doesn't make it feel heavy. I got this from Superdrug whilst it was on offer at £2 per bottle.

Also from Superdrug I saw that the Make Up Academy nail effects were 2 for £4, which meant I couldn't resist getting the Fur-Effect Nails (in the shade Fluff and Cuddles) and the Nail Constellations (in the shade Pisces). I haven't tried these yet, but I will most likely do a blog post on them when I do.

Now onto the bits from Boots. I bought the Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection concealer (in the shade light). I have seen a lot of people saying that this concealer is amazing, however I had never tried it before, so I gave in and decided to give it a go! It is a pretty nice concealer, maybe not as great as it is hyped up to be, but it does do a fairly good job. This was £4.19.

The final two things from Boots are the Collection 2000 Pressed Power and the Collection 2000 Extreme 24  Hour Felt Tip Liner. I wasn't really planning on getting these two things, but when I saw that if you spend £4.99 on Collection 2000 products you get the eyeliner free, meaning I only had to spend another 80p! I decided to try the powder because I have never tested it before, and I am close to running out of the powder I currently have. The powder was £1.99.

The last things I got from Superdrug were two packets of the Simple Cleansing Facial Wipes, which are one of my ultimate essentials, and the Simple Radiance Eye Make-Up Removing Wipes. I have never actually tried the eye make-up wipes, however I thought I would give them a go because I love Simple's products. They are alright, maybe not the best, they are quite small meaning it makes it a bit tricky to get your eye make-up off properly. The facial wipes were £2 each, and the eye make-up wipes were £3.

These three were actually from Sainsburys and they are the Mandara Spa honey bath, shower cream and bath essence. The three of them all smell rather musky, yet a bit fruity at the same time, I am not quite sure how to describe the scent properly but they smell very nice! The honey bath was £6, shower cream £2.50 and the bath essence £4.

                                 (Sorry for the awful picture)

And finally from Primark I managed to only buy two things. I bought a pair of full-length black leggings (which are essential to me) and a very pale denim shirt which I absolutely love! The shirt will look really nice over a navy and white striped dress and some black flats, so it is great for Spring/Summer. The shirt was £10 and the leggings were £4.

I also bought a black padded Karrimor jacket, for next Winter, from an outdoor clothing shop that I can't remember the name of. It was only £30 reduced from £99! I did try to take a photo of it but the quality and lighting was terrible.

What have you bought recently? I would love to know, so please tell me in the comments! :)

My Top 4 Favourite Lip Care Products

Hi guys! Since I always get very dry lips in Winter, I thought I would share some of my favourite products that I use to stop my lips from getting too dry. So this is my "top 4 favourite lip care products" (in no particular order).

                                                              Lush Popcorn Lip Scrub

1. First of all is the Lush Popcorn Lip Scrub, wow this stuff taste AMAZING! It doesn't taste a lot like popcorn, it taste more of caramel, so it's rather sweet. Forgetting the taste it is a really good product, it has really helped my lips stay soft, by removing any dead/flaky skin, and it definitely works.

The Body Shop Born Lippy Lip Balms
                            in pomegranate + lychee.

2. I have only recently "re-discovered" The Body Shop's products, I used to absolutely love them, then I went on to other brands. However when I went in the other week, because I had a gift card to use up, I thought I would give these two lip balms a try, since my lips were so dry.

They made my lips feel so soft, plus they stay on for a very long time! The red lip balm taste of pomegranate, then the paler version is just a clear balm, that has glitter in, and tastes of lychee. When you apply the lychee lip balm it feels a bit like it is exfoliating your lips, thanks to the glitter that creates bumps on the balm stick.

Palmers Dark Chocolate
& Peppermint Lip Butter

3. I only recently started using this, but I have already fallen in love with it! It is so moisturising, it's probably one of the best lip balm/butters I have ever had. It smells exactly like After Eight chocolates, and tastes like them too. It is a clear gloss so you can wear it over (or under) lipsticks, or just by itself.

I can't fault this at all!

The Body Shop Hemp Moisture High Balm

4. And finally the Hemp Moisture High Balm. This is a lot like Vaseline, except it doesn't contain petroleum, so it is far healthier for you!

Even though this may be intended more for patches of dry skin, such as your elbows, I have been using it for my lips as well and it has been really helping! I find this is best overnight, when you completely cover your lips in it and let it soak in, leaving you with very soft lips in the morning!

Have you tried any of these products on your lips? What lip care products do you use and love? Please tell me in the comments and I might give them a go :)

MUA Mini Haul + Swatches!

Hi guys! Today I have a Make Up Academy mini haul for you all, after hearing so many great things about the brand's products. I only bought a few bits, but thought I would tell you what I thought about them.

                                          MUA Undressed eyeshadow pallette

First of all is the MUA Undressed eyeshadow palette. I have been wanting to get the Urban Decay Naked 1 palette for absolutely ages, however I just couldn't bring myself to spend close to £40 on an eyeshadow pallette. This meant that when I heard about MUA making a copy of the Naked palette for only £4, I instantly went online and bought it.

Swatches:

                                                                         Shades 1, 2, 3 + 4

                                                                         Shades 5, 6, 7 + 8

                                                                  Shades 9, 10, 11 + 12

The shadow's colours are very nice, plus the pigmentation is great! I haven't had a proper try of them all yet, but from what I have used they seem to be very good, especially for their very small price tag! The colours of this palette are exact matches of the colours of Urban Decay palette too.

                                               MUA Lipsticks shades 2, 13 + 16

Whilst I was buying the eyeshadow palette I saw these and just couldn't resist getting them as well!

Swatches:
                                (Left-right) Shades 16, 13 + 2

These lipsticks are absolutely amazing! The pigmentation is great, they stay pretty near perfect even after eating and drinking. One of the good things about these is if you make any small mistakes whilst putting them on, they don't leave a greasy mark when you correct it. Plus the colours are really nice!

So what did you think of my little haul? Have you tried any of the MUA products? Please tell me in the comments :)

My Soap & Glory Collection + Mini Reviews!

Hi guys! Today I have a bit of a collection and reviews post, about none other than Soap & Glory! I have a bit of an obsession with this company's products, which has resulted in me having quite a large collection of the stuff. That is why I decided, what better to do that show everyone what I own, and tell you what I think of the individual products! (Apologies if this post turns out to be really long.)

Thick & Fast mascara + Supercat Felt eyeliner

Firstly, the Soap and Glory Thick & Fast Mascara, and Supercat Felt eyeliner. These are two of my favourite everyday make-up products!

The eyeliner is the best felt liner I have tried, my only comment is that it does start to fade slightly after wearing it for most of the day.

The mascara is AMAZING, it is so volumising and makes your eyelashes look really long! I have no bad comments about it!

Mighty Mouth + Sexy Mother Pucker Lipgloss
 (Shades Candy Gloss + Punchbowl)

The Soap and Glory Mighty Mouth + Sexy Mother Pucker I'm personally not too keen on, they are very sticky, so you end up with hair-covered lips rather easily. The only thing I really like about these are the colours.

Hand Food hand cream

The Soap and Glory Hand Food is one of my favourite hand creams, it absorbs pretty quickly, smells amazing, leaves your hands so soft and doesn't make them greasy. Definitely recommended.

Smoothie Star body milk + Clean On Me shower gel

The Soap and Glory Smoothie Star smells absolutely gorgeous! It smells a lot like the Breakfast Scrub.  Apart from that it is alright, it takes quite a long time to dry, which I don't really like, and it is quite greasy.

Clean On Me is a very nice body wash, it is so thick and moisturing, plus is smells like the classic Soap and Glory products!

Pulp Friction + Sugar Crush body scrub

The Sugar Crush Body Scrub smells extremely strongly of lime, which I am not particularly keen on, however people who like lime will love this! Otherwise it is a very good scrub, especially for dry skin!

The Pulp Friction Body Scrub is one of my favourite body scrubs, it smells like fig, with a hint of coconut, so quite a nice, fresh smell. It is a great body scrub and gets rid of any built-up dirt very easily.

The Righteous Butter body butter

The Righteous Butter is a bit of a tricky product, I both like it and hate it at the same time. Yes it is rather moisturing, but it takes forever to dry (which I absolutely hate) and I don't like how it leaves my skin feeling  quite oily. So I am not too sure about this one.

 Heel Genius foot cream

Heel Genius is a fairly good foot cream, admittedly it isn't anything massively special, however it does work rather well in the short term. I find that even if I completely coat my feet it in, then pop a pair off socks on the top overnight, it only keeps my feet soft for a day or two, which isn't that great.

 Glam-A-Lot Fragrant Body Spray,
Girligo Spray-On Moisturising Mist
+ Mist You Madly Body Spray

The Glam-A-Lot spray has got to be my favourite of the three, it has got quite a musky, spicy scent, whilst not being too overpowering. I would say this is more of an Autumn or Winter spray.

The Girligo moisturising mist is quite nice, it is not my favourite if I'm honest. When you spray it on it looks a lot like a white spray-on sun cream, and although it may be slightly moisturising, I find that the classic Soap and Glory scent wears off pretty quickly.

Last of the three we have the Mist You Madly spray, this is very much a Summer scent because of its fruity, fresh smell. I wore it all the time last Summer and it stayed on all day! This is a very nice spray, and anyone who likes fruity scents will definitely like this!

Peaches and Clean facial cleanser,
For Daily Youth face cream
Soap and Clarity facial soap

I used the Soap and Clarity facial soap for quite a while, until I completely forgot I had it and re-discovered it the other day! It is a really nice facial soap, it has small exfoliating beads in it, it is definitely more of a foaming soap than an exfoliating scrub. It doesn't dry your skin out, or make it too oily. All in all it is a pretty nice facial soap!

I have been using For Daily Youth since Christmas, when I got it in a gift set, and I absolutely love it! It smells gorgeous, makes your skin feel very soft and hydrated, plus you only need a little bit to moisturise your whole face.

And finally, my favourite of all the Soap and Glory products, Peaches and Clean! This stuff is really amazing. It makes your skin feel so so clean, soft and refreshed, whilst not causing me to get any spots, which occasionally happens when I used certain facial cleaners.

Anyway I hope you liked this post! Please tell me in the comments what you thought about any of these products, if you've tried them, and what other products by Soap and Glory you've used. :)

All of these products are available from www.boots.com

Note: All of the products mentioned were bought with my own money and these are my honest opinions.

The Cowboy Fashion Trend

This post is a bit different to the normal beauty posts I aimed to make, but I thought it was fitting as we are approaching spring, which can only mean one thing, changing fashion trends.

The cowboy trend is once again coming into fashion, with all its denim and tassely force. Being an on-off trend, it is the sort of thing you can partially like, but partially hate all at the same time.

The cowboy style has changed quite a lot over the past few years, where it used to be jackets with tassels and things of that nature, it now includes items such as skinny jeans and checked shirts.

I have seen a lot of people who obviously love the cowboy look, so they will be tremendously happy about this new trend!

Personally it isn't my favourite choice, and it never has been. I like the denim side of it with the shirts and jeans, however I am not too keen on the embroidered boots and vest tops with buffalo skulls on. I think that maybe the cowboy clothes should have been left to the real cowboys.

What do you think about the cowboy fashion trend? Do you like it or would you rather avoid it? Tell me in the comments :)

Beauty Blogger Tag

I've seen a few people doing this tag, and althought I myself haven't been tagged, I thought I would do it anyway as I love reading these sort of things.

I got the questions from http://tainted--beauty.blogspot.co.uk , so please check out her blog as she has only recently started her blog too!

1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?

Straight.

2. What is your natural hair colour?

Copper, so between ginger and brown.

3. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?

I don't dye my hair.

4. How often do you wash your hair?

Every three to four days.

5. Do you wear the same style every day or change it?

I normally just leave it as it is, because whenever I curl it the curls disappear within a couple of hours, due to my hair being so straight.

6. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?

I normally like doing it myself, then I can do exactly what I want.

8. Do you polish your toes in the winter, too or just in the summer?

I normally just do them in the summer.

9. How long does it take to put on your makeup?

Everyday make-up takes around 15 minutes, however when I go out it takes around 45 minutes.

10. What do you do first? Face or eyes?

I don't normally wear foundation as it messes my skin up, however I put my concealer on after my eye make-up.

11. Do you "collect" makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?

I buy my essentials when I am close to running out, or before if they are on offer. However if I see anything I like the look of I buy it.

12. How often do you wear false eyelashes?

Never. I HATE putting them on, and my eyelashes are pretty long anyways.

13. Do you do a full face of makeup every day?

I wear make-up if I'm going out, or someone is coming over. But my everyday make-up  is just eyeliner, mascara and concealer.

14. Do you wear makeup when you are home alone (or with family)?

Not if I'm going out, no.

15. Will you leave the house without makeup?

No, I hate going out without make-up, I feel really self concious.  If I know I am going out I will be prepared and put it on early.

16. How many high end products do you have?

A few products, not a lot as my Mum has this thing against me buying expensive make-up.

17. How often do you wash your makeup brushes?

The brushes I use a lot, like my concealer brush, I wash every couple of weeks.

18. Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide when you are getting dressed?

Unless it is some important event, I will just decide when I'm getting dressed.

19. How often do you change your handbag?

I barely ever change mine, even if I have a lot, I just like the size of the one I am using now.

20. What time do you get up & go to sleep?

I try to get to sleep around 10 pm, but the internet...it is too distracting, so normally around 11 pm  I then wake up at about half 8 am.

21. How often & when do you workout?

I am awful and remember to workout, if I do it is normally on the Wii Fit.

22. Left-handed or Right-handed?

Right :)

23. How tall are you?

I'm an elf, I am only 5ft.

Everyday at the moment!

27. Do you read the comments posted on blogs?

Yes :)

If there is a few things I try and remember them in my head, but if there is a list I write a list on my iPod.

29. How did you come up with your blog name?

I don't actually know. I just randomly came up with it one day.

30. What kind of camera do you use for photographs?

A Nikon Coolpix sometimes (can't remember the number) and a Fujifilm HS30EXR normally.

31. How often do you clean your house? (Daily, weekly, other)

Daily

32. What is your favorite colour?

Erm hard question! Burgundy and pale blue I think.

33. What is your favourite beauty/fashion magazine?

Elle and Glamour.

34. Do you swear?

Not normally around my family, unless I'm really annoyed, and around my friends sometimes.

35. What are you doing with the rest of your day?

Sitting on the laptop.
