What's In My Travel Makeup Bag?

Hey guys! Some of you may have seen that I went away for four days last week to see family up North, so I decided that I would do a little "what's in my travel makeup bag" post. Please mind the lighting in the photos, for some reason I just couldn't get it right.

The bag was from Primark in the sale about 4 months ago. The size is perfect, it's not so small that you can barely fit anything in it, but it's still small enough to tuck away in your bag. I think I did fairly well with the amount of products I brought, normally I bring far more.

First up is eyes. Now I realise that bringing three mascaras may have been a bit excessive, but I wanted to test them out more, although I only ended up using one, woops! I brought with me:

Mini Max Factor Masterpiece High Definition Mascara - I got this around Christmas last year.
Soap And Glory Thick & Fast Mascara
Mini Benefit They're Real Mascara
Soap And Glory Supercat Eyeliner
MUA Undressed Palette

The face products I brought are some of my favourites, especially the Nars concealer which has kind of blown the Collection concealer out of the water. I brought:

Helen E Eyeshadow Primer
Mini Elemic Pro Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm
Helen E Stage Foundation - Monroe
Vichy Idealia BB Cream - Light
A very worn out Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer - Light
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer - Vanilla
Collection Pressed Powder - Ivory
Estee Lauder Heatwave Palette
Aerin Bronze Illuminating Powder - Level 1
Nars Illuminator - Orgasm

I think I went a little crazy with all the lip products I took! All of these colours I have loved recently because they are all really summery colours. I brought:

Chanel Rouge Allure Lipstick - Precieuse
Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Lipstick - Idylle
Kate Moss Lipstick - 101
MUA Lipstick - 13
Rimmel Apocalips - Celestial
Nars Satin Lip Pencils - Biscayne Park and Luxembourg
Soap And Glory Mighty Mouth Lipgloss
Chanel Levres Scintillantres Lipgloss - Envolee

What do you like to bring in your travel makeup bag?

Chanel Summer 2013 Collection (L’ete Papillon De Chanel) // REVIEW

Hey guys! Sorry that I didn't have a post up on Wednesday, I realised on Thursday evening, when I was away, that I hadn't actually finished the post. Back in April I reviewed the Chanel Spring 2013 Collection, so when I was kindly given the chance to review the L'ete Papillion De Chanel Collection (their summer 2013 collection), I jumped at the chance. I LOVE this collection, it is full of peach and vibrant colours which are perfect for summer.

Chanel Rouge Coco Shine Hydrating Sheer Lipstick - Idylle (457) - £24* I absolutely adore this lipstick, its a sheer peach shade, that has a very hydrating formula which doesn't dry your lips out at all, meaning it would be a great one for people with dry lips! The colour looks quite intense, but when applied it goes really soft and looks gorgeous. Whilst the lasting power isn't exceptionably long, it does only take a few seconds to reapply, plus there is barely any chance of making a mistake because it is sheer and won't leave a stain on your skin. This lipstick has become one of my absolute summer favourites and I am really happy with it!

Chanel Inimitable Waterproof Mascara - Zest (27) - £24* Now, in all honesty I'm not keen on this mascara, only because it is yellow though. If it was in black or brown, I would definitely wear it, but I never normally go for yellow mascaras, as they just don't suit me.

Apart from the colour, it is a great waterproof mascara! You get no clumps at all, making it easy to add dimension and length. I have heard a few varied reviews as to whether or not it does stay waterproof, and for me it really does, it didn't smudge or flake off even after going swimming!

Chanel Levres Scintillantes Glossimer - Envolee (427) - £21* Envolee is a really pretty light peach shade that's very similar to the Idylle lipstick. It can be a bit sticky, so I wouldn't suggest wearing it out if its windy. The lasting power is really good, and it is actually rather waterproof which is always great. This has become one of my go-to lipglosses and it looks so pretty paired with the lipstick!

Chanel Stylo Eyeshadow - Cool Gold (17) - £23* Cool Gold is a luminous gold that has little pieces of silver glitter in. It blends really well with powder eyeshadows, and could always be used as a base! The lasting power is extremely good and doesn't crease. I find that the easiest way to apply the eyeshadow is by putting a bit on my finger, and blending it in. It looks really nice with bronzer, mascara and a pale lip for a quick, summery look.

What do you think about this summer's collection?

Day Out Strawberry Picking! // LIFESTYLE

Hey guys! On Tuesday I am going up north to see family, so I'll be scheduling a post for Wednesday, hopefully it will work this time. A couple of weeks ago I went strawberry (and broad bean) picking at my local fruit farm and decided that I would bring along my camera to take some photos. This is my first lifestyle post which I've really been looking forward to it, I hope you all like it. Warning, picture heavy!

By chance, it was boiling hot that day so it was even nicer at the farm! Apart from just fruit and veg, there were some animals, including a pig that got into his water container to cool down, tried to get out and fell onto its back and some little lambs (which I stupidly forgot to get a photo of). After looking at the animals my family and I went on to the bit where you pick strawberries and broad beans!

After spending about 1-2 hours picking a LOT of strawberries and some broad beans, we went over to see if there was any fresh eggs ready in the chicken hut, but the chickens had been suffering from the heat so there were only two. Having paid, and spent quite a bit of money, we went home and started the task of eating all these amazing strawberries.

I love fruit/vegetable picking and I go a few times a year. It is surprising how much nicer the food tastes freshly picked, rather than having sat in Sainsburys for hours on end.

Sorry if this post was a bit short, I couldn't really think of much else to write in this post! I hope it wasn't too boring. I would love to know if you would all like me to do another lifestyle post like this in the future!

Have you ever been strawberry picking?

Nars Satin Lip Pencil - Luxembourg + Biscayne Park // REVIEW

Hey guys! A few weeks ago I got sent two of the thirteen shades of the gorgeous Nars Satin Lip Pencils in Luxembourg* and Biscayne Park* to review for you all. I have always loved Nars packaging, it looks so sleek and simple with its matte black outer and white writing.

Luxembourg is a very bright pinky-red colour whilst Biscayne Park is a subtle nude colour. The pigment is very good, and I took an instant liking to them! They have a very silky, smooth texture, that dry within seconds to become a lot like a lip stain so they don't transfer onto anything easily, although this does mean that they can be a bit drying. The finish is between matte and glossy, but as the day goes on it becomes a little more matte.

They take a couple of seconds to put on and are a handbag must-have! The lasting power is ridiculously good, I'm talking 4 hours plus here. The only problem I had, and I have with most high-pigmentation lip products, is that if you make any mistakes, especially with Luxembourg, it stains your skin.

Overall I am really impressed with them, whilst they may not be the best thing for people with dry lips, they are such a simple, yet effective product that last for ages! I would certainly buy some in other shades, maybe Isola Bella?

Have you tried any of the Nars Satin Lip Pencils before and what did you think of them?

You can buy Nars Satin Lip Pencils for £17.50 from Nars

Friday Night Pamper Evening!

Hey guys! I hope that you are all enjoying this lovely sun, it has actually felt like summer for once. On Friday evening I decided that I would have a pamper evening as I hadn't had one in ages, and I don't very much during the summer. I love having pamper evenings as I find them really relaxing and I get to try out products I may not have used before!

First I started by cleansing my face with the Nuxe Melting Cleansing Gel*. I then washed my hair in the shower with Loreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss Light shampoo, because I find it impossible to wash my hair in the bath! After having a shower I used the Montagne Jeunesse Strawberry Souffle face mask (which, after one use, I have decided I hate the smell of).

Whilst the mask was drying I crumbled in some of the Lush Comforter bubble bar, then a bit of Essential Extracts Peach & Almond Foam Bath and Sainsburys Skin Nourishing Creme Bath. When the bath had finished running I put in a Lush Dragons Egg bath ballistic and watched it fizz away.

About twice a week I use a scrub, so this time I decided to use the Soap & Glory Breakfast Scrub (which smells absolutely amazing!) and paired it with the Soap & Glory Clean On Me shower gel.

Once I got out of the bath I sprayed Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic onto my face, let that dry and then used the Nuxe Creme Fraiche De Beaute moisturiser*. I then used the Garnier Body Intensive 7 Days Body Lotion (I did an in detail review of it here), let that dry and then put on my pyjamas

I followed up with the Soap & Glory Hand Food and decided to paint my nails with China Glaze Blue Bells Ring and Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat. After all that I headed off to bed feeling very relaxed!

Do you have pamper evenings very often and what are your favourite products to use?

Worth The Hype? - Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat

A quick note to say that I just realised this post, which I schedualed to go up on the 26th, didn't go up for some reason. Not quite sure what happened there!

Hey guys! So today I am back with another worth the hype post about my new favourite top coat, the Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat. I bought this after seeing lots of people saying how great it was, and since I hadn't seen a single negative review, I decided I would go ahead and buy it! The same day that it arrived in a little brown Amazon package, I was already using it and instantly loved it.

I love how little time it takes to dry! You can put it on wet nails and it will dry them within a couple of minutes, if not seconds. The finish is really nice and professional looking, it also seems to make whatever nail polish you're using, last for much longer than an average top coat would. The only thing that I wasn't too keen on, and I know a lot of other people have commented on this too, is the very strange smell. It smells exactly like those little gel "alien babies" you would get in a plastic egg as a child, hopefully you all know what I'm talking about?

This is by far my favourite top coat and for such a low price (Amazon was the cheapest place I could find it) I think that it is amazing. Overall I definitely think that it is worth the hype, and would urge everyone to try it if you haven't already!

What's your favourite top coat? I would love to know!
