My eyebrows have always been hard to find products for, because of my hair colour, so when I was at a Benefit event back in the summer the lovely staff recommended that I test out Benefit Gimme Brow in light/medium! As this is quite a light ashy brown shade, they said that it would most likely suit my eyebrows, plus it's easy to use. I was a little apprehensive, but gave it a test at the counter, and was surprised to find that it did actually work really well on me! This meant that when I got back home I hopped online, bought it and eagerly waited for its arrival.
The application of this, as I said, is so simple since the packaging is very similar to a regular mascara, just a little smaller! You have the tiny mascara wand, which makes it easy to apply the gel without creating any clumps. All I do is gently brush my eyebrow hairs up with Gimme Brow, then run a spooli though them to get them back into shape and make sure that the product is distributed completely - that's it! I know that a lot of people have troubles using powders to fill their brows in, so if you have that trouble you really must try this out.
Aswell as giving colour, Gimme Brow also contains tiny fibres and gel, helping to give the look of fuller and natural brows! As for lasting power I've had no troubles at all, since it always stays in perfect condition whether I have makeup on for 12 hours or 2 hours!
At £17.50 this is maybe a little pricey for some people, but I would very happily pay that amount since my makeup routine wouldn't be complete without this great product!
Have you ever tried Benefit Gimme Brow?
Sounds great, I do love a good brow product :) I like to use Soap & Glory's Archery which has a pen and pencil side and that works really well for me xx

I've heard quite a few good things about Archery, but never actually really given it much though! I'll definitely have to have a look at it though x
DeleteI tried something like this from model co and I just wasnt too impressed. I think I like the look of my pencil better x
ReplyDeletehttp://www.allthingskerri.blogspot.co.uk/
Oo right! Gimme Brow seems to be one of the top brow mascaras that you can get, so maybe the Model Co one was one of the bad ones. Pencils are definitely better if you want more of a structured brow! x
DeleteI've always wanted to try something like this but I have the same issue with colour, except I can never get anything dark enough. Hope Benefit bring out a super dark one cos I'd love to try it!

Benefit actually do a dark version of this, which does appear to be pretty dark! Maybe you should go and visit a counter to have a little test :)
DeleteI really like the Gimme Brow, it was one of my 2014 favourites. I've recently bought the Rimmel brow gel to see if it's just as good, as this one is pretty expensive! xx
ReplyDeletekizzyhearts.blogspot.co.uk
Yay! My friend bought the Rimmel version a few weeks ago, since she didn't want to splash out on Gimme Brow even after a lot of encouragement from me haha. She seems to think it's good, although the brush is huge! Let me know how you get on with it x
DeleteI think I need to try this soon! If you wanted to add to your brow collection have you tried Anastasia BH Dipbrow? They have an auburn and caramel shade which might also suit your hair :) xx
ReplyDeletemode-bella.blogspot.co.uk
Definitely! Oo no I haven't actually, those shades sounds good though so I'll have to look into it - thanks :)
DeleteI picked this up the other day in duty free and I can't wait to start using it, just need to photograph it first haha! Love the sound of fibres as I definitely need the help when it comes to my brows x
ReplyDeleteBeauty with charm
Haha lucky you! Yeah the fibres are good, plus they aren't big and obvious helping your brows look more natural x
DeleteI have this and quite like it for natural looking brows, but I prefer powder for more intense look :) I don't think the colour is dark enough for me though so it makes sense you love it when the colour is right!
ReplyDeleteIndia / Touchscreens & Beautyqueens
Yeah Gimme Brow is definitely for those who like natural looking brows, so I can see why a lot of people would prefer powders! That's a shame, they do actually do a darker shade though if you wanted to try it x
DeleteI adore this product and when I tried it my eyebrows looked amazing yet natural x
ReplyDeletehttp://www.lipstickandsparkles.com/
Exactly! It's a wonderproduct haha
DeleteI love using this alongside my powder for a great brow, I am looking for a cheaper alternative though but unsure if it will be as good!
ReplyDeleteThat's a good idea! I've heard that the Maybelline Brow Drama is nice, and it has the same sort of small brush x
DeleteI really need to try this but i need practice in using the brush type , im far more used to powders and pencils
ReplyDeletehttp://beautyandtheprince.weebly.com/makeup.html
I wish that I could apply pencils and powders without a huge hassle! This is surprisingly easy to apply (easier than I thought it would be at first), maybe go and have a demo at a counter? x
DeleteI love Gimme Brow. I have recently done a review on my blog too x
ReplyDeletepintsizedbeauty.blogspot.co.uk
It's lovely isn't it! I'll have to have a read of it in a minute x
DeleteGreat review! This is such a good product, I had it ages ago and the brush makes it so easy to use and is the right size for eyebrows. Also the colour is nice and natural. x
ReplyDeleteThank you! Ah I know it's great x
DeleteI have not tried anything from benefit and I also have not tried any brow products in general because my eyebrows are really think and unruly so I don't really know what to do with them so i just leave them alone most of the time.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely give Benefit a try soon, they do some lovely products! Ah right, I guess though brow products like these are to make your eyebrows look thicker, so if you have thick brows already there isn't much point. Maybe you could try just a clear brow gel to hold everything in place? x
Deletei have this and really like it! it does make brows look fuller
ReplyDeletefrom helen at thelovecatsinc.com
Definitely! It's a great product :)
DeleteI love Benefit Gimme Brow too - but I have to use to over waxes or powders/pencils as more of a setting product because my eyebrows are just so sparse at the ends! xo
ReplyDeleteLipgloss & Lashes
Good idea! I've always wondered what it would be like over powders etc, so I may give it a go on mine x
DeleteI currently just use eyeshadow, very lightly, on my eyebrows but I'd love to try this one time :)

alzgalz.blogspot.co.uk
That's what I used to do (although I normally made them look far too dark haha)! It's such an easy products to use x
DeleteI've been umming & ahhing whether to get this or not, but think you've persuaded me :D
ReplyDeleteStyle Sunrise ☀
:)
x
Woo! Let me know how you get on if you buy it x
DeleteI really found it so hard to use BUT I have now vowed to go to a bar after hearing such good reviews and get them to show me how to use it properly xx
ReplyDeleteBlonde Of Carbs
Awh really? Yeah that's a good idea! Just make sure that you haven't got a lot of product on the brush, lightly brush your brow hairs upwards with it, and them run a spooli through them to brush the hairs into place - that's what I do and it seems to work every time x
DeleteI heard about Benefit Gimme Brow but I never used it. I have tick black eyebrow and have trouble to tame them. I'm definitely going to check this one out. xo
ReplyDeleteAntonia || Sweet Passions
Yep you should! I'd maybe have a look at the darker shade though, as this may be a little too light for black hair :)
DeleteI tried this in store myself and liked it but didn't have the cash but I'm saving up for this as it is an amazing product.

It's really is worth it! I got mine on offer from Feel Unique or Look Fantastic (one of the two) using a voucher code and ended up paying about £14, so maybe have a look there x
DeleteI really want to try this!! I know what you mean, it is pricey but if you use it everyday, it's worth it :)
ReplyDeleteEmma xx
www.alittlefreckle.blogspot.co.uk
It really is! Plus if you spread the cost out over each use it doesn't sound too much x
DeleteI agree that this is a little pricey but I love this product as I also use it everyday :) My only gripe is how the product collects around the top of the tube. I do agree as well that this does not budge during the day, which is fabulous so you don't have to worry about rubbing your brows off hehe.
ReplyDeleteCharlee XO | CharmedCharlee
Yeah, and if you think of how many uses you get out of it it doesn't seem that much! That's the exact problem I have (oops I forgot to mention it in the review), I've no idea why it does it though x
