My Evening Skincare Routine

Hey guys! Something that I have never done before is a post on my skincare routine, so I thought that it would be quite a fun post to do today. I have never really had a "set" skincare routine, as I'm the sort of person that would mix and match my products! I thought a few months ago that I was getting into more of a routine, since I had been absolutely loving the Loreal Micellar Water, that was until it started reacting with my skin (you don't know how devastated I was about this!)

I then went on to try and find another cleanser that cleaned my skin as well as the micellar water did, which made me decide to have a complete overhaul of my skincare routine, baring the toner. Normally my skin type is normal to dry, although it can go more on the combination side when the seasons change, so this routine is the one that I use when it is normal to dry!

I think that I now have got a fairly iron-clad evening skincare routine (I'm still working on the morning routine), which removes every single bit of makeup and dirt from my skin at the end of the day, keeping it feeling really fresh and clean!

To start off I apply some of the Caudalie Makeup Removing Cleanser Water onto large cotton pad, pop it onto my eye and hold it on for a few seconds, then wipe away my eye makeup! I have had this cleanser shoved away in my bedroom for ages, but never showed it much attention until recently, however it is really good so I'll definitely have to repurchase this one.

Once all of my eye makeup has gone I move onto the rest of my face! For this I like to use the Magnitone Pulsar Face & Body Brush* with the Clearasil Daily Clear Superfruits Refreshing Wash, because these two together remove every single bit of makeup from my skin. As both of the products are very deep cleaning, they do leave your skin feeling quite dry and tight, so a good toner and moisturiser is essential! I like to spray some of the Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic since this alone is really moisturising and smells lovely. For moisturiser I use the Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturizer* which is my favourite at the moment due to it being really moisturising!

I hope that you enjoyed this post! I will have to do a morning skincare routine once I have figured it out a little more, which should hopefully be soon. I have also thought of doing a "spot routine", about what products I use when my skin is more on the oily/spotty side, so if you'd like me to do that post then please let me know!

What products do you use in your evening skincare routine?

Chanel Summer 2014 Collection (Reflects D'Ete De Chanel) // REVIEW

Hey guys! First off, I am sorry for the complete lack of posts recently - blogging began to feel like a chore and I wasn't really enjoying it much but I've now had some time off and hopefully I can get back into the swing of things!

Today I am back with another Chanel seasonal makeup review, this time for the Summer 2014 collection! This collection is orientated around bold, bright colours, which would look amazing with a Summer tan. As I have stated many times before (and you are all probably sick of hearing), Chanel is such a huge favourite of mine meaning that I was really eager to test these four products out!

Chanel Levres Scintillantes Glossimer - Hello (184) - £22* Lipglosses are one of those things that can be very awkward to wear, one slight gust of wind and you end up with very unattractive hair-covered lips, however the Chanel Levres Scintillantes Glossimer lipglosses are different! Rather than just being sticky, they have more of a jelly-like texture which reduces the amount of stickiness by quite a lot.

The shade Hello is a very glossy and pretty sheer pink shade, but I prefer to wear this over a lipstick or lipstain as it doesn't have much colour payoff by itself! The formulation is extremely light, and I find that I only need to reapply roughly every three hours which isn't too bad.

Chanel Le Vernis Nail Colour - Sweet Lilac (615) - £17.50* Sweet Lilac is a gorgeous lilac shade (which is a colour of nail polish that I didn't actually own), with the most amazing glossy finish to it! To get the sort of strength of colour that I like I apply three coats, but you could easily get away with only wearing two if you'd like a lighter shade.

I get around four days wear out of this, with a top coat, without it showing any signs of damage which I'm quite satisfied with. I can't wait to wear this more throughout Summer and next Spring and Summer (wow, thinking ahead a bit there Millie)!

Chanel Inimitable Waterproof Mascara - Violet Touch (67) - £25* I'm just going to state what everybody is thinking, this is a ridiculously odd shade of mascara! With this being an extreme purple blue shade of mascara, I will have to be brutally honest and say that this is just not something I would wear.

Colour aside, the application is really nice since it makes my lashes appear longer, voluminous and clump free! You also get the added bonus of it being waterproof, which is definitely the formulation which I tend to favour. This lasts quite happily on my lashes all day with very minor fallout, so I would have to say that this is a lovely product, but sorry Chanel I just can't make the colour work for me!

Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow - New Moon (97) - £25* Who else just instantly fell in love with this product after seeing what it looks like?! New Moon is a beautiful aubergine shade with a slight bronze tinge to it, as well as having a tiny little specks of silver glitter. The Illusion D'Ombre eyeshadows aren't just another cream eyeshadow, instead they have a luxurious creamy and smooth texture, despite the level of glitter - which make them ridiculously easy to apply and blend!

I've found that there isn't even need for a primer with this product, as it already has that creamy texture that primers have! I get a full day of wear and with very little fallout. I really can't talk more highly of this eyeshadow, it's definitely a makeup must!

I hope that you all enjoyed this post! My favourite product out of this collection would have to be the Illusion D'Ombre eyeshadow (but I'm sure that you already guessed that). I'm really looking forward to the Autumn collection as it seems to have some gorgeous purple shades!
