Chanel Spring 2013 Collection (Printemps Precieux De Chanel) // REVIEW

Hi guys! Today I have a very exciting post (for me anyway) about the Chanel Spring 2013 collection, which consists of coral and plum colours. I like that the collection has a little bit of variation for those who may not like the bright Spring colours cosmetics brands usually bring out, but they still allow for those who do. These products are definitely ones that you would have to "splurge" on, but I think that you really do get your moneys worth when you compare them to some cheaper, high street products!

Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour (114/Precieuse)* £25 - I think this is the prettiest lipstick packaging I have even seen, I have to put it out there. I love how it is so sleek and how you open it (you have to push the top and the lipstick pops out).

Anyway forgetting the outside now. The lipstick is such a pretty colour! Even though it looks like a dusty rose colour, it comes out more of a nude/pink colour with a slight shimmer when you apply it to your lips. The lasting power is fairly good, it starts to fade after around three hours (if you don't drink or eat). One thing that I thought was really great about it was the consistency  it is very creamy which means, if you have dry or chapped lips, you can still wear it without making your lips look very flaky.

Note: I didn't realise until after I took these photos, that there is a lip brush on the end.

Le Crayon Levres Precision Lip Definer (59/Palissandre)* £17.50 - I am not the sort of person who would normally wear lip liner, I never have been, so this was a bit of a first for me. It is a matte brown/marroon colour and I would have to admit that the colour isn't the nicest when you apply it (swatches further down the page) as I don't wear dark colours on my lips, but it would be better for someone who does.

The first thing I would have to say is that it lasts ridiculously well! It went around 7 hours without fading at all, baring in mind that I had been drinking, which would be perfect if you don't want to be continuously re-applying it throughout the day. It doesn't dry your lips out either which is great.

Rouge Allure Extrait De Gloss (69/Merveille)* £25 -  Again about the packaging, how pretty is it?! The lipgloss is a deep pink/light plum colour with a shimmer, and normally I would wear this sort of shade in Autumn or Winter but I guess there are some people who like this colour all year round.

Recently I have been leaning towards the lipstick choice as I have found that lipglosses can be a bit of a pain when your hair gets stuck to your lips, which isn't the nicest thing! However with this particular lipgloss I really quite like it. When you first put it on it feels rather strange but it "sets" on the top after a few seconds of putting it on, which makes it loose a lot of its stickiness.

The only negative comment I would have to give it is that it does wear off quite easily when you drink or eat, which means you have to re-apply the lipgloss.

Le Vernis Nail Colour (573/Accessoire)* £18 - I love the colour of this nail polish even if it isn't particularly Springy (if that is a word)! It is a deep wine colour and has lots of shine to it, which makes it look quite classy. It is also really easy to make it look a bit more casual by adding a glitter top coat.

It dries very fast which I was impressed with, however I found that it does chip easily and I had taken it off within three days because of this.

Overall I think the nail polish was very good if you weren't going to leave it on for very long, but I honestly think it could be a bit better considering its price tag.

Swatches of the three lip products

Have any of you tried any Chanel products? Do you think they are worth their higher-end price tag? Please tell me in the comments!
