Superdrug + Lush Haul!

Hey guys! I went shopping the other day and picked up a few beauty bits from Lush and Superdrug, surprisingly I didn't see any clothes I wanted to buy though. These two shops are the sort of place you could go in, intending to spend 5 minutes in, but then come out an hour later with 5 bags full of stuff and not quite realising what you have bought until you come home. I was proud that I only bought these things, and a couple of these are products I had been lusting over for ages! Sorry if this post is so picture heavy, the products are just so pretty.

Superdrug -

Rimmel Apocalips (shade Celestial) - £5.99

The first thing I picked up was the much talked about Rimmel Apocalips, in the shade Celestial. These lipglosses have been talked about a hell of a lot in the blogging community and have been really hyped up! When I swatched them a couple of weeks ago they felt quite sticky and not very nice, which meant I decided not to buy them, however I gave in the next time. I actually really like it, and it isn't sticky at all, it dries more like a lip stain. I will be doing a more in-depth review on it at some point!

Rimmel Kate Moss Matte Lipstick (soft pink or 101) - £5.49

For some reason I hadn't tried any of the Kate Moss lipsticks, even though I have seem lots of people blogging about them. When I was getting the Rimmel Apocalips I saw that all the Rimmel things were 3 for 2, so I had to get another thing, didn't I? I chose this colour because it was a really pretty light pink and when I swatched it the colour was gorgeous! The formulation is pretty good, although I really would suggest wearing a lip balm underneath as it does dry your lips out a bit.

Rimmel Lasting Finish (nude pink or 206) - £4.99

I love the colour of this lipstick, it is a pinky-nude colour with a slight shimmer. When you swatch it it looks quite coppery and not that appealing, but it really is a completely different colour on your lips for some reason. It lasts for around two hours (ish) although it claims to last for either hours, which I have never found a lipstick to do!

Nivea Lip Butter (scent raspberry rose) - £1.99

Now is the very popular Nivea Lip Butter in the shade/scent raspberry rose, three words: Oh my god! I was going to get this when I went into Bodycare the other week, but I was in a rush so I didn't bother. I regretted not buying it, which meant as soon as I went into Superdrug I grabbed this without even bothering to look at how much it was. This stuff is seriously amazing! It smells so nice, makes my lips feel soft (I have been using this then generously applying the Palmers dark chocolate lip butter on top overnight and I wake up with lovely soft lips). My only criticism is that if you put more than a little bit on, it makes your lips looks white which isn't the most normal-looking thing if you are going out!

Lush -

Sorry for the awful picture!

Lush Popcorn Lip Scrub - £5.25

Ah Lush, the place where your dreams comes true and you spend all your money! The popcorn lip scrub is by far my favourite "flavour", the rest I just find are a little too sweet. I love that this has little bits of salt which give it a really unique and nice taste, although I know not everyone likes this, but hey not everyone likes one product. It gets rid of any dry bits of skin on your lips in an instant and leaves them feeling, and tasting, great! The price is a bit steep though for what the ingredients consist of, but I think it is worth it.

Lush Blackberry Bath Bomb - £2.95

Now onto bath bombs! I have never tried the blackberry bath bomb before, and I thought for £2.95 I may aswell give it a go. This is pretty much the generic bath bomb, it isn't anything fancy just a great smelling fizzing ball for your bath. It smells just like you would expect it to, like blackberries, but it also smells a bit like sherbet  Oh and I learnt that if you breathe in to smell it, whilst it's in the bag, you get bits from it up your nose and it's horrible.

Lush Dragon's Egg Bath Bomb - £3.20

The Dragon's Egg bath bomb looks quite innocent when you see it, it smells like lemon, lime and very slightly of jasmine. Little do you know that when you put it in your bath it has lots of coloured "bits" in it, making your bath have little patches of water each with a different colour, it even has dissolvable glitter in! Plus, best of all, it has popping candy in, although this can make your bath sound like it is cracking.

Lush Space Girl Bath Bomb - £2.10

This smells a lot like grapefruit (which I adore the smell of), it has multi-coloured glitter and for £2.10 it is worth me giving it a go! Also it is shaped like a spaceship, need I say anymore.

Lush Twilight Bath Bomb - £3.20

How cute is this one?! It smells like raspberries, lavender (which normally I don't like the smell of) and just general nice-ness. Twilight is intended to calm you down just before going to bed and just smelling this makes me calm, so I can't wait to test it out! I might do a blog post whenever I get round to use it, so please tell me in the comments if you would like me to.

Have you tried any of these products before and what have you bought recently? I would love to know! :)

    1. Awh thanks! Yeah the colour is really pretty, although for some reason the colour of mine looks a bit darker than swatches I have seen on other people's blogs.
