Goodbye Google Friend Connect!

Hi guys! Just a quick post. Some of you may have heard that for some reason Google are getting rid of Google Friend Connect (the thing most of you follow blogs on). This change means that you won't be able to read blogs off the main page anymore, and that bloggers will lose all the followers they have via GFC, which is seriously annoying after most bloggers worked so hard for that readership!

Google will be getting rid of GFC from the 1st of July. This gives us all some time to start re-following the blogs that we currently following, be it on Hello Cotton or Bloglovin.

Luckily Bloglovin has given us the option to let them transport all the people we currently follow on GFC, and make our Bloglovin accounts start following them instead. (If that makes sense)

I will be using mainly using Bloglovin to read blog posts from now on. If you would like to follow me on it you can do so here or on Hello Cotton here. I highly suggest that you all make accounts on one, or both, of those website otherwise you won't be able to read the posts of the blogs you love!

If anyone knows exactly why Google are getting rid of GFC could you please tell me as I am really curious.

Goodbye GFC, you were really great! *wipes tear*

    1. Haha yeah it did make sense. No we won't show any of our GFC followers, which really sucks. You also won't be able to see the blogs you followed via GFC either :(
