Soap & Glory Supercat Vs Collection 2000 Extreme Felt Tip Liner

Hey guys! Sorry this is so late, I have been really busy this week. Also Blogger decided to delete all my work on this post once I had finished it, and saved it, which meant I had to re-write the whole thing so I hope I have remembered everything I originally wrote. Some of you may have seen in my haul post here that I bought (actually it was free) the Collection 2000 Extreme Felt Tip Liner. I love the Soap & Glory Supercat Felt Tip Liner so I thought what better to do than a comparison post on the two!

I can't live without my felt tip liner (maybe not literally but still) so I am always on the look to try new brands! The Soap & Glory Supercat currently costs £6 from Boots, whereas the Collection 2000 Liner only costs £2.99, which is a pretty big difference for two things that are extremely similar.

Outside: The outside of both the liners are ridiculously similar! They are both the same lengths, they are the same widths and the lids even go to the same place. Maybe both companies use the same suppliers because it is pretty rare to find two products with identical packaging!

The Liner: The two are pretty similar when you first put them on, the tips are the same size, however the Collection 2000 liner is a little bit browner than the jet black colour of the Soap & Glory liner. Althought it isn't noticeable from a distance.

The lasting power of both eyeliners was pretty good, but I found that the Collection 2000 faded more than the Soap & Glory one after leaving them on for around 8 hours. Considering the Collection 2000 liner claims to last for 24 hours, which I didn't think would happen in the first place, I would have hoped its lasting power would have been a little bit better.

I did a smudge test (where I put the eyeliner on, left it to dry and then smudged it) and surprisingly the Collection 2000 eyeliner smudged less. Personally I don't smudge my felt tip liner, but I know that some people do so the Soap & Glory one may be better for them.

Overall: Even though both eyeliners are great I would still rather buy the Soap & Glory felt tip liner if I had to choose out of the two. I just found that the lasting power of it was better than the Collection 2000 liner. If I wasn't going to keep my make-up on for very long than I would probably wear the Collection 2000 one, but for me the lasting power just wasn't good enough! If you were on a budget, but still wanted a felt tip liner, then this would be great for you.

Have you tired either of these felt tip eyeliners? What did you think of them? Please let me know in the comments whilst I go and bang my head against the wall because I had to re-write this :)

  1. I bought the Soap and Glory Supercat last week (I'm still slowly writing my own review!) and I love it, it lasts so long, though I think it's pretty hard to take off, but maybe that's just me. Love your blog, would be awesome if you could check mine out too :)
    Hope xx

    1. Yeah it is my favourite eyeliner! There is a trick to getting it off though, you keep your eye partially open, then wipe straight along your lash line going underneath the lashes (if that makes sense) using your cleansing wipe or whatever you are using :)

    1. Awh that sucks! Do any little online shops that get stuff over from the UK sell them? Or you could try Ebay.
